London-born fashion stylist and designer Denise Brown
exudes all of the charismatic qualities of a true fashionista.
Experienced in styling both menswear and womenswear with a flair for exceeding the boundaries of conventional couture, Denise has worked with some of the biggest names in pop culture including
Kanye West, Rihanna, Gym Class Heroes and Mr Hudson. Her international clientele has also included
MTV, Nickelodeon, New Era, Polaroid, Star Reads and Mothers against Gun Crime in London.
Denise first embarked on a mission to pursue fashion from an early age when she hand-stitching her first outfit at the age of 12. She later went on to study womenwear at the world-renowned London College of Fashion and after graduating, began to assist several stylists, including
Franklin Akinsete and Cynthia Lawrence- John, working with various artist including
Mis-teeq, Samantha Mumba, Macy Gray and Nelly Furtado.
Her creative eye was quickly recognised by
music magazine Touch, where she reigned as fashion editor for three years. She has also worked for
Time Out, NME, Lurie, Pride, The Guardian, Flavour, Fuse and Noise.
In 2007, she launched
Don't Judge Me
clothing, a label inspired by Denise's life, and created to make a statement about
'perseverance through misconception'. The T-shirt range captured the attention of magazines across the country and was even worn by
singer Mariah Carey.
Denise loves sharing her years of professional styling experience and knowledge and also runs successful workshops that cater to young people already interested in fashion.
She is currently a
fashion Editor for RWD and Flavour magazine in London and is available for commissions.
